North Head is our most visited spot. The walks around there are just wonderful. We were at the same height as the QE2 one time when it came into the Harbour - a great experience.

I recently walked the Heritage Foreshore walk between Rose Bay and Neilson Park. What an outstanding asset to Sydney! Congratulations.

I did it last Sunday. Yes, it is good walk with good views. However the section south of Queens Beach was closed so I joined the small trail of families dragging young children back up the hill from the locked gate to the nearest parking. I do support the idea of national parks but really the service is behaving as if it does not need friends. How much trouble would it have been to put a temporary sign back at New South Head Road warning of the track closure and pointing to the next access point with reasonable parking?

In general the Hermitage walk could be of more benefit to visitors from Sydney if it started at Rose Bay waterfront. While it might take forever until a government gets around to buying land or building bridges to allow this, there is no reason why the signposted walking route, including necessary streets, could not begin at Rose Bay.

The fact we have, through design and accident, been able to keep much of our foreshore away from private development is fantastic.

As someone not originally from Sydney, I just find the whole foreshore walks thing a fantastic asset.

As a local resident I love the areas of Middle Head and Bradleys Head. Walking and enjoying the bush and views are my great personal delights.

I would love to see further bush regeneration, funding and volunteers.

The fortifications are of great historical value and I was most impressed with the progress being made at Middle Head when, as a member if the Headland Preservation Group, the Volunteer programme was explained and shown to us by National Parks staff.
